Let's go get that baby boy....

Travis and I began to discuss how we were going to get to Richmond when the baby was born.  The cost of flights last minute were extremely expensive and the thought of putting a newborn baby on a plane kinda freaked me out.  Travis' dad came up with a great plan and it is what we did!

This last weekend (Feb 24th, my mom's birthday) Gary, Lynda and I drove up to Lexington, KY.  The SEC indoor conference track meet was there. We were able to watch the meet Saturday night and all day Sunday.  We got to see the Razorbacks WIN the SEC conference title!!  Wooo pig sooie!  On Sunday night we headed into West Virginia and stayed for the night.  Then on Monday morning we drove rest of the way to Richmond, Virginia....actually we are staying south of Richmond in Colonial Heights.  That was a beautiful drive!!!  I can only imagine how pretty it would be in the Fall!

That brings us up to right now!  We are staying in a Candlewood Suites.  The hotel has a full kitchenette, full service laundry, and wireless internet!  All of those things will be nice for when we bring the baby here.

After the baby is born, we will need to stay here for a few days.  The paperwork for the Petition of Custody will need to be delivered and signed by the courts.  There is also paperwork that goes to the ICPC...which is (as I understand it - not the offical definition) the committee that handles state to state adoption cases, that needs to be approved before we leave Virginia.  Our lawyer said all this paperwork could take from 4 to 12 days.

Well....that is all for now.  We are currently just watching the news and trying to figure out what to do for supper.  I will keep you posted on all the happenings here!  We keep praying that Katie has the baby this week!  We are SO anxious to meet that little guy!  :)
